Face Masks Supporting Breast Cancer Awareness

Posted on Sep 13, 2020

Mask mandates continue and with October right around the corner, it will be The Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Here are a few of my past designs on masks so you can not only support others during COVID concerns but also share your support for this immensely difficult disease.

Please make sure to visit www.Komen.org and other great organizations to see how you can do more than wear a mask to support BCA.

Alienware = Fun

Posted on Jun 4, 2018

AlienwareArena.comThese past months I’ve had the great pleasure of illustrating assets & re-skinning loyalty rewards games (LRG) with Cataboom for Alienware Arena (The community site for Alienware, Dell’s gaming computer division).

In addition to creating assets & skins for “generic” Alienware LRG, I’ve also gotten to skin LRG for branded games’ promotions with many more to come (I may update the list below later). These include:

I have not posted the game screenshots yet (other than the branded ones in this article), nor the tons of other assets developed, not to mention work done with Cataboom for other brands (e.g. NTT DATA). Maybe someday…

But until then, below is a sampling with more that can be seen in a new “Assets” section of this site which will contain Characters, Props, Environments/Backgrounds, GUI, and other assets for games, apps, & video/animation:

Also, be sure to check out the Concept Art section which has pre-production assets: Concept Art and the sketches sections which have a lot of characters in them: Sketches (Select) & Sketches (Archive)

I am excited to finally be able to share this work! Below is the press release with the PR image followed by a thumbnail grouping of the images I did for the menu and activity sheet that has been made public thus far.

Larger sized images can be viewed in the Painted Illustration Portfolio: QuietYell.com/portfolio/

One of the activity sheets that’s been made public can also be viewed on Mimi’s Cafe website: here through the kids section: http://www.mimiscafe.com/kids )

Mimi’s Promotes Healthier Choices With Engaging New Kids Menu

Flipbook-style menu lets kids select dishes while creating stories with furry French friends

DALLAS, Feb. 27, 2018 /PRNewswire/ — Mimi’s has launched a creative new kids menu that features healthy choices and an entertaining experience to make ordering fun for even the youngest diners.

The flipbook-style menu is a charming storybook starring Elle and Pierre, a cat-and-dog best-friend duo traveling through France together. The pair help kids select a main dish, side and drink, with each turn of the menu’s three-part pages creating a new scene in the French countryside or city, as Elle and Pierre enjoy picnics, riding trains, dancing – even parachuting.

“We wanted to create a new way for kids to engage with the dining experience and empower them to make their own choices,” said Mimi’s Senior Director of Marketing Tiffany McClain. “Our new kids menu is a fun and interactive way to help children review the menu. They can find the items they like and give their order to the server independently and even nonverbally.”

The menu features new items such as French Toast Dippers, freshly baked Kids Waffle, Kids Cheeseburger or Cheese Quesadillas, as well as longtime favorites Puppy Dog Griddle Cakes, Sliced Grilled Chicken Breast, crispy Chicken Tenders, and Kids Fettuccini with Pomodoro Sauce.

Along with their main dish, kids can also select new beverages with their meal, like Honest Kids Appley Ever After or Super Fruit Punch. Last, they can add healthier items to their meals, such as GoGo squeeZ Applesauce and Yoplait Go-Gurt Strawberry Yogurt, for $0.99 each.

“GoGo squeeZ is thrilled to partner with a fun and exciting brand such as Mimi’s. Our mission at GoGo squeeZ is to make it easier for families to be healthier and happier. We hope kids will be excited about this addition to the Mimi’s kids menu,” said GoGo squeeZ Chief Marketing Officer Helene Caillate.

The entire kids menu is available all day, for kids 12 years and younger. Mimi’s also offers all-day breakfast, every day. For a full menu, locations and hours of operation, go to www.mimiscafe.com/kids.

Goliath Games’ Wordsearch Box Concepts

Posted on Dec 1, 2017

It was my pleasure to work on box cover concepts for Goliath Games’ popular Wordsearch game. Each of the concepts focused on a nuanced approach for niche placement and have a variation which could also be considered for additional game editions. Pictured are: 1) Fun Play (Family); 2) Search Competition (Party); 3) Fast Action (Mass Market); 4) Game Play (Intellectual/Educational); 5) Concept (Specialty); 6) Minimalist (High End). Additional considerations were given for printing treatments as well as box structure.
